When we got KImber as a puppy we thought that we saw something special in her, but boy oh boy we did not have a clue of what we were in for with her! Running a trial course smartly with genius application of the grounds, objectives, and the wind from the very begining, Kimber kicked off her field trial career as 2nd RU 2011 Futurity, VCA National Champion 2013, NVA RU 2013, yearly rankings 2013 #4 AGD and was off most of the Spring with puppies, 2012 #3 AGD in the country.  Kimber is one of only three dogs to ever win the VCA National Championship back to back years, 2013 and 2014! (at the AKC National Championships, Kimber has been awarded; 2013 NAFC, 2014 NFC, 2014 NAFC) The other times it was won back to back was in 1988 and 1999, then her crowning double win in 2014!  She was the second dog in Vizsa History to have won it being handled by her owners (Us)  in both Amatuer and Open VCA National Championship, handled by her Amatuer owners.  She was on fire and frequently in the Winner Circle! She was a huge part of Big Gun Kennel having ALL (both Open and Amateur) of the National Championships' Winner Trophies both AKC and NVA in the same year! Kimber was also awarded Runner Up 2013 at the NVA National Amateur Championship, Winner of the Quail Championship 2016 AND 2017, as well as the Runner up in the Amateur at the Quail, NVA National Amateur Champion 2017, then in NVA Runner Up NACH 2018, then also in the Fall of 2018, won the NVA National Amateur Championship and the NVA Quail Championship. Most recently in 2019, she was awarded National Amateur Champion at the NVA. In weekend events over her years of competing, Kimber has had 46 placements in AKC Trials. Just to say she is a special girl to us is an understatement! Kimber enjoys being with us and sleeping with us in bed but is always ready to go hunt or field trial at the drop of a hat! We expect 2020 to be her retirement year.  Kimber is now spayed.
